Hawaiian Acres is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hawaiʻi County, Hawaiʻi, United States located in the District of Puna. The population was 1,776 at the 2000 census. The population increased by 52.0% to 2,700 at the 2010 census. [1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 19.2 square miles (50 km2), all of it land.
As of the census[3] of 2010, there were 2,700 people in 1,119 households residing in the CDP. The population density was 140.6 people per square mile (54.2/km²). There were 1,310 housing units at an average density of 68.2 per square mile (26.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 46.44% White, 1.26% African American, 1.00% American Indian & Alaska Native, 7.26% Asian, 9.67% Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander, 1.33% from other races, and 33.04% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 14.59% of the population. [4]
There were 1,119 households out of which 22.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them. The average household size was 2.41. [5]
In the CDP the population was spread out with 23.2% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 11.5% from 25 to 34, 19.9% from 35 to 49, 29.9% from 50 to 64, and 8.6% who were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 107.4 males. For every 100 males there were 93.1 females. [6]
